Are You Ready To Quit Golf?

This post is for those golfers who felt that they have been burned by past golf instruction service.

So, you are still a golfer who is frustrated, confused, not playing to your expectations, and thinking about giving up. Well, here are some questions that you may want to ask yourself before you give up on golf.

  1. Ask the next person who tells you to keep your lead arm straight this question: Why?
  2. Are you trying to create power? Why?
  3. Are you comparing your golf swing on video to a PGA Tour Pro? Why?
  4. Do you know how to practice?
  5. Do you practice for hours per week? Not  just one hour per week, but at least five hours per week?
  6. Are you golfing with the correct golf equipment? You know – custom fitted clubs…
  7. Is your putter fitted?

Most frustrated golfers would like answers and solutions to their golf problems, right?  Why not seek help? I have something for you: A two-hour coaching and training session. Here is what you can walk away with after a two hour golf [swing] training session:

  1. A complete understand of your swing.
  2. Knowing what you need to do to improve.
  3. Eliminating all the “golf lingo clutter.”
  4. Eliminating all the useless golf “tips” you have heard.
  5. Focusing on one simple thing: to swing your golf club.
  6. Knowing how to swing a golf club.
  7. Knowing how to practice.
  8. Feeling better about yourself and golf swing.
  9. Realizing the investment in two hours is more than worth it.
  10. Ready to learn how to score.

For more information on how a two-hour golf instrcution and traing session can help you, please call me at (602) 828-golF (4653).

Happy Golfing,

Robbie Camacho

9 Reasons Why You Don’t Improve Your Golf

Every golfer wants to get better, but most don’t. Why? Here are 9 reasons:

1. You seldom practice your weak areas
2. You play with the wrong equipment
3. You think you are better than you really are
4. You shoot much higher when the score really counts because you have to putt out
5. You are trying too hard to drive  the golf ball 290+ when you really drive 250- 260
6. You are physically not capable of playing certain shots
7. You give up when things go sour
8. You don’t take golf lesson(waste of money, right?) because you think you can figure it out by yourself
9. You take golf lessons, however, you don’t following 100% of the golf instruction

The above list applies to most golfers. I have been on the other side by taking golf lessons from a few pro’s over the years. Golf is hard game, but the challenge of it brings us back.  Ben hogan once said that he only hit 3 perfect shots per round.

If you are seriously interested in a better golf game, then why not do it? Help with your golf is available 24/7 via the Internet and the Golf Channel.  But one-on-one golf instruction is best. The right golf instructor and golf swing coach is out there. If you would like to discuss how you can improve, and I mean really improve for a lifetime, then call me at 602-828-GOLF. The golf lessons are conducted at Rio Salado Golf Course in Tempe, Arizona, and you can book 7 days per week.

7 golf swing mistakes you must stop doing

Ok, so we all make mistakes, but I am talking about your golf swing mistakes. Here are seven things that you must stop doing:

1. Stop trying to swing as far back as you can.

2. Stop making the golf ball the target.

3. For women: If you are taking lessons, please stay on the game plan provided by your instructor. Do not allow others to influence you to stray…

4. Stop trying to keep your left arm straight (right handed players) during your backswing.

5. Stop trying to keep you eyes on the ball post impact.

6. Stop trying to make a big shoulder turn because someone told you so…

7. Stop trying to fix your swing by yourself if it is still not working. Seek profesional help.
